Alex Krause of the Dartmouth men’s hockey team has been named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week.

Krause scored in both games for the Big Green over the weekend.

Making his NCAA debut on Friday, Krause scored his first collegiate goal late in the second period to tie the game 1-1. Well positioned just outside the crease, Krause tipped and redirected a shot from Jack Cameron to the bottom corner of the net.

Krause added to his season total the following night against Clarkson. Late in the third period, he crashed the goal after a saved shot, smashing the puck into the back of the net to make it a one-goal game.

During his youth hockey days, the Calabasas native played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
