The ECHL’s Utah Grizzlies announced today that the team has signed defenseman Ryan Orgel.

The 24-year-old defenseman from El Segundo played for University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point the last two seasons and in his senior season of 2020-21, he had nine points (five goals, four assists) in 10 games.

Orgel started his college career at the University of Denver and played for two seasons before transferring to Stevens Point. In his two seasons at Denver, he was twice named to the NCHC Academic All-Conference Team.

During his youth hockey days, Orgel played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings and California Titans.
