The CCHA has announced that Bemidji State goalie Mattias Sholl is the Goaltender of the Week.

Sholl went 2-0-0 with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage in helping Bemidji State to a home sweep of Bowling Green last weekend.

Returning from injury for his first action since late October, the Hermosa Beach native made 18 saves on Friday in a 3-1 victory, before turning away 16 shots in a 5-2 win on Saturday. He aided the Beavers’ penalty kill to a perfect 6-for-6 week, stopping all nine shots that came his way.

During his youth hockey days, Sholl played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
