Boston College junior Aidan Hreschuk has been named the Hockey East Defender of the Week.

Hreschuk totaled five points from the blue line as BC racked up 12 goals on the weekend.

Trailing 2-0 on the road Friday night, he assisted on the Eagles’ first of the game in a come-from-behind win and added a second helper.

On Sunday, he lit the lamp just 35 seconds into the contest to set the tone as Boston College scored three times in the first period. It marked his first goal of the season and preceded a pair of assists. Hreschuk added six blocked shots.

Back home, the Long Beach native played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
