Ladera Ranch native, Jr. Ducks alum Torre inks with WHL’s Rebels
The WHL’s Red Deer Rebels have announced that recently-acquired forward Zane Torre has signed with the team.
Torre was acquired by the Rebels from the Seattle Thunderbirds last month in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft and a conditional fourth-round pick at the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft.
Torre was selected by Seattle in the second round (43rd overall) at the 2023 WHL U.S. Priority Draft. He played the 2024-25 season with Shattuck-St. Mary’s 16U AAA team and had 53 points (27 goals, 26 assists) in 49 games.
A native of Ladera Ranch, Torre played for gold medal-winning Team USA at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games in South Korea and had five points (three goals, two assists) in four games.
Prior to Shattuck, Torre played for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks.
