Pankowski had a weekend to remember for top-ranked Wisconsin, as she became the first player in program history to net game-winning goals in consecutive overtime contests.

After scoring a shorthanded marker in the first period Friday that was the No. 3 play on ESPN’s SportsCenter, the Badgers’ co-captain netted the game-winning goal in overtime to lift UW to a 3-2 victory over Harvard.

On Saturday, the redshirt senior and Anaheim Lady Ducks alum scored another beautiful, game-winning goal, this time with just 24 seconds left in OT that gave the Badgers a 2-1 triumph. Her goal on Saturday checked at No. 9 in SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays.

Pankowski’s two-game winning goals paced the WCHA and were tied for the NCAA lead, while her three goals ranked second in the conference.

This is Pankowski’s first WCHA weekly award of the 2018-19 season and her seventh career honor.
