The EHL has announced Express Hockey Club goaltender Alex Koenig as a Northeast Division Showcase Star. 

The ’04 Manhattan Beach native posted three big wins in goal in the October Showcase over the weekend. 

Koenig started the weekend off with a 2-0 shutout win over the New England Wolves. He played the first 19 minutes and had 13 saves. The following day, he made 41 saves in a 1-0 win over the New Jersey 87’s. Koenig closed out his exceptional weekend with a 26-save performance in a 6-2 win over the CT Nor’Easter. 

This season, Koenig has posted a 1.63 GAA in four appearances.

Back home, Koenig played for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks and Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
