Manhattan Beach native, Jr. Kings product Weber signs with WHL’s expansion Vees

The WHL’s Penticton Vees have announced the signing of 2006-born defenseman Ethan Weber.

“Ethan is someone we targeted since the minute we were accepted into the WHL,” said Vees president, GM and head coach Fred Harbinson. “We believe he has the talent to be an immediate impact player on our roster. We are very excited to have Ethan wearing a Vees jersey this season.”

Weber played the past two seasons with the USHL’s Lincoln Stars. The Manhattan Beach product posted 19 points (five goals, 14 assists) in 62 games during the 2024-25 season. He added one goal in seven playoff contests.

In two seasons in the USHL, the Los Angeles Jr. Kings grad compiled 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists) in 118 regular-season games.

Originally selected by the Saskatoon Blades in the 2021 WHL U.S. Prospects Draft and acquired by the Vees in the 2025 WHL Expansion Draft, Weber has already secured a commitment to NCAA Division I Penn State.
