The Big Ten announced today that University of Minnesota senior forward Brannon McManus has been named the conference’s Second Star of the Week.

Last weekend, the Newport Beach native tallied four goals as the No. 4 Gophers swept Arizona State University.

McManus notched a career-high four points in Thursday’s 10-0 win, including his second career hat trick and Minnesota’s first natural hat trick since 2014. He followed that up with a goal and a helper in Friday’s 10-2 finale.

During his youth career in California, McManus skated for the LA Selects.
