Playa del Rey native, Jr. Kings, Titans grad Mobley takes home weekly SUNYAC honors
The SUNYAC has selected Cortland’s Ronan Mobley as the Goaltender of the Week.
Mobley posted a 0-0-1 record with a 0.80 GAA, 35 saves and a .972 save percentage for Cortland (9-3-1) at the Oswego Hockey Classic as the Red Dragons took third place at the tournament.
In a setback against Stevenson on Saturday, Mobley came off the bench to stop the four shots he faced in 9:54. He then made 31 saves, including several key stops in the tiebreaker shootout won 4-3 by Cortland, as the Red Dragons skated to a 1-1 tie at host Oswego on Sunday.
For the season, Mobley has posted a 2-2-1 record with a 2.87 GAA and a .916 save percentage.
During his youth hockey days, the Playa del Rey native played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings and California Titans.
