The USPHL has announced that Fresno Monsters blueliner Jacob Gagnon is the Pacific Division Defenseman of the Week.

As captain of the Monsters, Gagnon, a 2002 birth year from Reedley, has been a powerhouse, on and off the ice.

During Fresno’s three-game-sweep over Ontario this weekend, Gagnon was plus-4 with nine blocked shots. He also earned five points (one goal, four assists), which brings him to a season total of 34 points (nine goals, 25 assists) and is currently No. 2 on the Monsters for points.

Gagnon played for the Bakersfield Jr. Condors during his youth hockey days.
