Minnesota State graduate forward Josh Groll has been named the CCHA Forward of the Week.

Groll paced all CCHA skaters with five points last week, scoring three goals with two assists and a league-best plus-5 rating. Netting one game-winning goal, he totaled five shots on goal and one block defensively, helping the Mavericks to a road sweep of Lake Superior State.

On Friday, the San Diego native scored a pair of goals, including the eventual game winner in a 4-0 Minnesota State victory. He then produced a game-high three points (goal, two assists) in a 4-1 win on Saturday.

Back home, Groll played for the San Diego Jr. Gulls and Anaheim Jr. Ducks.
