The NA3HL announced today that Texas Brahmas forward Tyler Blanchard has been named the South Division Star of the Week.

After a somewhat streaky start to the season, Blanchard hit his stride this past weekend with eight points in a pair of wins over the Texas RoadRunners.

On Friday, the San Jose product posted his first multi-goal game of the year, with a two-goal, four-assist outing at home. He followed up that showing on Saturday with another goal and an assist to push his season totals to 14 points (four goals, 10 assists) in seven games.

During his youth career, Blanchard skated for the San Jose Jr. Sharks and is currently in his third season with the Brahmas.
