The NAPHL’s T1ER League has announced that Danbury Hat Tricks 16U forward Riley Schmitz has signed an NAHL tender agreement for the 2025-26 season with the Johnstown Tomahawks.
Schmitz is in his first season with the Hat Tricks in the T1ER League. The Winchester native has made an immediate impact, averaging more than a point per game with 16 points (12 goals, four assists) in 14 games, with four of his goals coming on the power play. Schmitz’s 16 points have him tied as the team’s leading scorer.
His standout performance of the season came at the prestigious Dixon Cup Event, where the 2008 forward recorded an impressive four points against the Carolina Rage. Not only did he score a hat trick, including a power-play goal, but he also provided the primary assist on the game-winning goal.
