Jr. Sharks alum, San Jose native Scott chosen Hockey East Co-Player of the Week
Maine senior forward Harrison Scott has been named the Hockey East Co-Player of the Week.
Scott had a league-leading seven points – tying for first in goals (3) and assists (4) – as the Black Bears swept Merrimack, 5-0 and 6-0. Boston College’s Gabe Perreault was the other co-player of the week with three points on three goals.
On Friday night, Scott had one goal and two assists and he followed that up with a two-goal, two-assist outing on Saturday night. Saturday marked his second four-point game of the season. Scott also had a power-play goal, nine shots on goal and 15 faceoff wins over the two-win weekend.
In the first seven games this season, the San Jose native has five goals and 10 assists. He is just the third Hockey East player since 2005-06 to record at least 15 points in the first seven games of the season. The alternate captain’s 15 points are the most by a Black Bear in the first seven games of the season since Spencer Abbott had 13 in the 2010-11 season.
Scott is currently riding a career-long eight game point streak dating back to the final game of the 2023-24 season.
This marks the second Hockey East Player of the Week honor this season for Scott and the third of his career.
Back home, Scott starred for the San Jose Jr. Sharks.
