The UCHC has announced that Utica senior goalie Angela Hawthorne is the Goaltender of the Week.

Hawthorne, the two-time reigning UCHC Goaltender of the Year and 2023 AHCA All-American, guided Utica to a 2-0 weekend at the Utica University Kickoff Tournament against Suffolk University and No. 6 Adrian College.

Over the two games played, she registered a 1.44 goals-against average, a .957 save percentage, and totaled 65 saves. She made 23 saves in the season-opening 6-2 win over Suffolk Friday and was tremendous on Saturday, stopping 44 of 45 shots in the 2-1 overtime win over Adrian.

During her youth hockey days, the Santa Clara native spent time with the San Jose Jr. Sharks.
