Jr. Sharks grad, San Jose native Scott tabbed for weekly Hockey East honors

 

Maine junior forward Harrison Scott has been named the Hockey East Player of the Week.

Scott scored four goals, including a hat trick, and added an assist for five points in helping the Black Bears to a two-win weekend over UMass Lowell.

The San Jose native had one goal and one assist in Friday’s 5-3 win. On Saturday, Scott notched his first a career hat trick that included the game-winning goal and a power-play goal. He scored two goals in 23 seconds during the second period before capping things off with a third-period tally.

Scott finished the weekend with a league-leading four goals and tied for the lead in points with his five. He also finished second with 24 faceoff wins and wrapped up the weekend with two blocked shots, six shots on goal, and a plus-3 rating.

This is the first career Hockey East weekly honor for Scott.

Back home, Scott spent time with the San Jose Jr. Sharks.
