San Jose native, Jr. Sharks graduate Scott earns weekly player honors from NAHL

The North American Hockey League announced today that Amarillo Bulls forward Harrison Scott has been named the South Division Star of the Week.

The 20-year-old Scott was a one-man offensive show this past weekend in the Bulls series in Shreveport.

The San Jose native and Bentley University recruit had five points, including four goals in the two games.

“Harrison has been one of our most consistent players all season,” said Bulls head coach Rocky Russo. “He brings energy to our bench and our locker room and has been able to score big goals for us when we need them. After a very difficult start for our team on Saturday, he was instrumental in leading the effort for our comeback, which unfortunately fell just a bit short. He will be relied on as we enter the playoffs to be a difference maker, game in and game out.”

On Friday, Scott had a goal and an assist in a 5-4 shootout loss. On Saturday, he had a hat-trick and provided all of Amarillo’s goals in a 5-3 loss.

For the season, Scott is second in team scoring for the Bulls with 38 points (20 goals, 18 assists) in 53 games.

During his youth hockey career, Scott skated for the San Jose Jr. Sharks.
